Hats, Hats, Hats

Faith used to let me put anything on her head. I had all kinds of cute hats, but once she learned how to take it off her head, she won't let me put anything on her. I did manage to get this hankie on long enough to take pics. How cute!

Birthday Party

For Faith's first birthday party, I went all out...probably more than I should have, but it was fun. The theme was "Under the Sea." The invitations were messages in a bottle that said, "Under the Sea, Under the Sea, Come celebrate turning one with me!" I made costumes for all the kids, mermaid skirts for the girls, and squid cloaks for the boys. They all looked sooo cute and they were all really excited about costumes. Here are some of the pics of the kids in their costumes. Faith is the first baby, and the 2nd pic is Carter. Faith and Carter were born on the same day, August 10th 2006.

I bought some plain unfinnished wood picture frams for $1 each at a craft store, painted them white and then put a border of sea shells around the edge. The kids each got to decorate their own picture frame however they wanted, and then they put their picture in it. They really enjoyed doing this...what kid doesn't like to get messy...oh, that's right...mine doesn't. Faith's birthday cake was a cupcake cake decorated like the sea with a mermaid and fish and everything. She was amazed by the fire on her cake, but she was not at all interested in eating her cake. She doesn't like getting messy, and doesn't like icing, but while I was trying to have her taste it atleast, someone came in from the side and gave her watermelon. Now, that she would eat...notice the face she made when I tried to give her cake...

There was an after party at my house! Harmony and Kamillia joined Faith in playing with all her new toys! They looked so cute...I even video taped Kamillia singing "Happy Birthday" to Faith. Do they look worn out or what?!

August 10th

On Friday the 10th of August, we had a little family party for Faith at Alan's grandparents' house. She loved opening her presents, and kissing the babies in the pictures. She was very happy to have everyone around her paying attention to her.

Faith doesn't like icing, so she usually won't eat cake, but she did on her birthday because there was ice cream. She will eat a whole tub of ice cream if you let her...
