We were expecting to get to go home on Saturday but they tested her Saturday morning and she was in the high risk zone (there are four zones, low risk, low intermediate risk, high intermediate risk and high risk) for jaudice. They immediately put her under the ultra violet light and started feeding her formula. Of course, I was not too happy about all of this. All I want is to be near her and hold her and kiss her and I can't do that when she is in the incubator. She is so beautiful, though. When they took her to put her under the lights, they told me that Sunday morning they were going to re-test her and if they numbers were low enough then they would take her out from under the lights and then re-test her again eight hours later to make sure that she wasn't going to rebound. They did the re-test at five in the morning this morning and she was still too high. They are going to test her again tonight at eight and then if her numbers are low enough they'll take her out from under the lights and re-test at five in the morning tomorrow (Monday). Hopefully by ten o'clock tomorrow morning we will get to finally take her home. I was discharged yesterday at two o'clock, and luckily have managed to be able to stay in my room as a border. That means I am not really here to them, but if they need they room, I would have to leave. If that happens, I will be staying in the waiting room. Thank God that hasn't happened. One good exciting thing that happened today was I got my milk in so they won't have to give her near as much formula! I was jumping up and down with joy!!
