GOOD NEWS!

Baby Faith and I were extatic yesterday when we got a call from our mommy in law Sherri! Alan had an appointment with the cardiologist, and after having all of his testing done, the doctor said that he no longer has an enlarged heart, there isn't a fluid pocket surrounding it and it is functioning at the correct rate!! He also passed his stress test!! We are so thankful and relieved that he is fine. It will just take a little while for him to build up his stanima, but he is fine!! Thank God and all who prayed for us!

Our Appointment Today

We had two appointments today. Our first was at the hospital where we had our ultrasound. It is so exciting to see our little one as she grows. The woman did confirm that Faith is a girl. Faith has found her favorite position. She loves to cross her ankles! Everytime that we have had an ultrasound, her ankles were crossed! She is mine, definitely. Very hard headed and stubborn. She knows what she likes already and what she doesn't. All she did was squirm and wiggle everytime the ultrasound wand was placed on my bellly. So, either she didn't want to have her picture taken, or maybe it was all the chocolate I ate before the ultrasound!! Hehehe.

First Kick

On Sunday, May 14th, 2006, Alan felt the baby kick for the first time!! I was so overwhelmed that I cried and cried. He teared up, but of course I just cried. It was such an awesome feeling to know that he can feel his baby inside of me. I think that she finally felt like letting him know she was there. It is also really cool that she could be moving all over the place and as soon as he puts his hand on my belly, she stops like she is comfortable and like she was waiting for him. She knows her daddy.

This picture is of me at a maturnity store trying on clothes. It was cool because in the dressing rooms, they had pregnant pillows that you strap on (I guess to make sure that the clothes will fit later on). I still am not that big yet, and I'm in my sixth month already!

Toesies

One thing I can't wait to do when Faith is born is to nibble her little toesies!! Here is an ultrasound picture of Faith's little toesies! Of course, I also can't wait to kiss her all over, hear her little giggle, see her first smile, see her beautiful eyes and to tickle her. She is going to be so cute (especially if she looks like me, heheheh)!

Cool Cousin!

Little Faith is going to be one lucky girl! Her big cousin is already playing with her! This is a picture of Faith's cousin Kamillia. Whenever we visit with Kamillia she plays peek-a-boo with the baby (in my tummy). She also tells the baby hello and that she loves her. Afterwhich, she looks up and says, "baby no talk back." We have already gotten Kamillia to volunteer her help when the baby comes.

When we went to visit a couple of months ago, when Kamillia was still getting used to the idea of a baby in Hopie's tummy, we had a very funny moment!! When we were telling her about the baby, her mommy (Vanessa) asked Kamillia where HER baby was, and Kamillia pointed to her own belly!! We couldn't help but laugh! Of course, she realized that we were talking about her baby doll and proceeded to get her doll. It was so innocent and precious!

It's A Girl!!

Everytime we have been to see the doctor, Faith has been stubborn about letting us see her privates! She always had her knees pulled up to her chin and her ankles crossed covering her little tushy! We got two nurses to say that they think that she's a girl, but they wouldn't go shopping yet or they wouldn't bet their paychecks on it. Finally we got Faith in a position where her ankles were still crossed, but her legs were streched out. The nurse we got that time said that she wasn't 100% sure, but she was pretty sure that she was a girl. I believe she's a girl, but you know how fathers get. He thinks she could still be a boy, but if not, he will have his little princess. We have another ultrasound tomorrow and hopefully will be able to get a definite answer.
This is an ultrasound picture of Faith sucking her thumb.
